Optimizing Your EEG Lab: Electrode Choices, Study Types & Quality Tracking Webinar

Event Date: April 29, 2026

Start Time: 12:00 pm

End Time: 1:00 pm

Join expert Sara Batson, R. EEG/EP T., CLTM, CNIM, RPSGT (2007-2017), on Wednesday, April 29th, at noon ET, as she presents a practical framework for selecting appropriate EEG electrodes based on patient population, clinical indication, and study type.

Participants will explore key considerations for electrode selection across routine outpatient, inpatient, and continuous EEG (cEEG) applications, including extended-duration recordings in ICU, EMU, and other hospital settings. The session emphasizes balancing patient safety, signal quality, and operational efficiency while addressing the use of standardized 10–20 electrode labeling.

Attendees will also learn how customizing electrode selection to align with lab workflows and EEG hardware systems can enhance performance and consistency. In addition, the session will cover when and why tracking product lot numbers across neurodiagnostic modalities is essential, including its impact on quality assurance, traceability, regulatory compliance, and patient safety. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with actionable strategies to support informed electrode selection and maintain consistent, high-quality EEG practices across clinical environments.
